I am watching CNN when I inform her that the news says there were base jumpers killed in the Yosemite Park in the US.
M: Ay, namatay. Sayang. Gwapo pa naman ang isa.
L: Bakit? Kung pangit, pwede na mamatay?
M: Oo.
L: (Laughs) Ganun? Ang sama mo naman.
M: Wag mo kong i-judge.
She laughs harder,
M: Nakuha mo ung joke ko?
L: Oo.
Good. It's a milestone each time she laughs at my jokes.
Seriously, to die because of BASE jumping is a horrible death. It's a dreadful thought should our son be part of the statistics hooking up to this sport. It is not safe and it concerns me that these jumpers seize the moment as if IT has to be made.
No, I will not understand this sport.
